The Horse and The Ox

Hi everyone!
My name is Diego Nunez-Leon and I am a first-year Environmental Science major. I’m from Mid-City, Los Angeles though my parents are from Oaxaca, Mexico where a variety of animals are eaten depending on the city. I was born in 2002 so my Chinese Zodiac is the Horse.

The Horse, Rat, Ox, and Tiger

Hello there! My name is Abbie Burrus, and I was born in 2002, the year of the horse. I’ve always found the Chinese zodiac to be fascinating, and the patterns you see among people born in certain years is a very interesting thing to note. Even if a lot of it is just acting on coincidences, the collections of people and personalities are fun to investigate nevertheless.

Relation to the Rabbit and the Tiger--rat, ox, tiger

Hi, my name is Naana Boateng, and my zodiac sign is the Rabbit. While I was researching, i saw the myth of how the rabbit is related to the tiger which I thought was very interesting. Apparently, those who are tigers and rabbits tend to have a power struggle against each other, especially if there are romantic relationships involved. I can see this, as a rabbit is a timid and calm animal, whereas a tiger can be aggressive and overpowering.

Introduction and Thoughts on Rabbits

Hi! My name is Jaz Stringfellow (they/them) and I’m a third year music education major from Ventura County. I am the year of the rabbit. I was interested in this class because I’ve always enjoyed cooking starting in high school, when I’d have to figure out how to feed myself after school. Cooking and preparing food has always been a creative outlet for me because my empty stomach always pushed me to think outside the box and create things in a way I still have trouble with as a musician.

A Snake in San Diego

Hi class!

As this is also my first blog post, I would like to start by introducing myself! :) My name is Samuelu (I go by Sammy) and I am a first year Psychology major. I was born in 2001 (the Year of the Snake) and raised in the beautiful city of Oceanside, California (the northern area of San Diego County).
